Upgrade Pack | User Experience Design

Upgrade Pack is the closed marketplace where airlines and hotels make discounted upgrades available to an exclusive group of ‘member’ consumers. It is available to the end users in the form of a native mobile and web app. 

Building the Application from Ground Zero

The product was kick started and was continuously developed throughout 2 years (mobile & web app). The User Experience design was primarily focussed and can be summarised in the following areas/steps:

Navigation

Defining the navigation system for the product. This includes a number of various user flows, such as - registration and login, upgrade search, checkout, account management and settings and many others.

Information Architecture

Building user-centric IA (Information Architecture) for the design structure and generating it into wireframes and sitemaps.

User Research & Testing

Carrying out various types and forms of user research based on the needs and stages of the product. Measuring product’s usability by conducting usability testing at various product stages.

UX Specifications 

Writing UX specifications for flows, behaviours and functionalities. Reviewing acceptance, updating and modifying the user stories as the project evolves.

UI Review

Closely collaborating with UI designers by making sure that the user needs are not overlooked when defining the master guidelines for web and app presence and when developing the product further.
