Upgrade Pack | User Research

The extensive User Research was conducted in order to understand how the users tend to upgrade their flights and hotels and also to check whether the suggested solution (mobile and web app) matches user expectations in terms of its functionalities and user interface.

Research Stages

1. Research Scope

Establishing the scope and type of the research based on the current status of the product/project. Identifying the method of the usability testing. Preparing the user tasks.

2. User Recruitment

User recruitment phase entailed the sourcing of the users that directly and indirectly represent the target audience for the product. Scheduling of the interviews and setting up the testing environment.

3. One-to-one Interviews

The research itself (including the usability testing of the product) was conducted via one to one interviews. It allowed to built a better understanding of the user needs and grasp the general idea

4. Conclusions & Suggestions

The research observations were documented, summarised and together with the product improvement suggestions presented to the business/stakeholders.

The importance of user research

The findings of this user research were crucial for Upgrade Pack as it helped to make the key amendments to the product that satisfy user needs. The research document was also used by the sales team when marketing the product.
